About The Tales of Torment Podcast
In the real world, how common is a happy ending?
About
Welcome to Grimward, a town that lives up to its name because the tales that occurred here were really quite… grim. There are stories that everybody knows and loves and what if these stories passed down through the ages were real? Of course, when a tale is passed down for so long the details get a little muddy. In Grimward these tales took a turn we are not so familiar with today and characters may appear completely different to how you might know them. So, what really happened? Listen and find out…
Our Story
Growing up LGBTQ+ it was rare to see people like us get the limelight in the classic fairy tales and even today there is not a large amount of representation in this sector. Podcasts are magical because whole worlds can be created with sound, story, and the power of the imagination. Now, all grown up, I wanted to see LGBTQ+ protagonists in these stories that have been reimagined in a darker theme to suit mature audiences and so Tales of Torment was created. This podcast showcases so much more than LGBTQ+ identity, that is just one part of these characters, because like in real life, we are so much more than our queerness.
